Our Core Values that Guide Us
-
Faith - We seek to know and do God's will in fulfilling our mission with a lively trust in Divine Providence.
-
Respect for Human Life and Dignity - All stages of life are precious. Each person we serve is a unique, unrepeatable and irreplaceable child of God. Our work isn't about numbers, it's about the person.
- Effective Compassion - We work one-on-one with each of our moms to know and understand her family's specific needs. We see the potential in each mother to become self-supporting. We challenge entitlement and encourageme empowerment from within.
-
Integrity - To make virtuous choices in all that we do. We use our intellect and will to govern our actions, order our passions, and guide our conduct according to reason and faith.
-
Courage - To overcome fear, to have firmness in the face of difficulties and constancy in pursuing the good.
-
Hospitality - We seek to make our campus inviting and welcoming to all who visit, reside and work at Providence House.
-
Excellence - We strive to be the best versions of ourselves, both professionally and personally.
-
Stewardship - We recognize that all we have been given has been entrusted to us to be used wisely. All gifts we receive are to ensure the freedom and dignity of the families we serve, to meet their basic needs and to give them the means to become self-reliant.
